My thoughts
The views presented in this website originated from the author unless otherwise stated. It is meant for the author to record his daily thoughts and philosophies accumulated from his personal experience. Quoting Bruce Lee, "All knowledge ultimately becomes self-knowledge". We can learn all the things in the world but eventually, we will only absorb and internalise what is meaningful to us. In essence: Learn, internalise and discard!

Totality
Do not miss the forest, for fear of losing sight of the trees. Seeing the entire picture may change our opinion on how we view the sum of parts.

Mental
A winner attributes his success to every well planned steps and leave nothing to chance. A whiner simply blames his predicament on poor luck, never on himself.

Beauty
The beauty of an object peaks before the moment of "possession". Cherish it before the feeling fleets away.

Void
The absence of thoughts lay the foundation for new ideas. An idea can be borned out of nothing, having no pre-conceived guidelines to shape the mind. When there are no expectations, chances are when you flip a coin up, it might just land standing.

Self-contentment
Less is more. The less I have, the less I will stand to lose. Material possessions are immaterial as long as I have what I really need.

Wisdom
Adding wisdom in life does not equate to increasing knowledge. On the contrary, it sheds away the unessentials and focus on what is important; similiar to chiselling the edges of a sculpture for the finishing touches.

Religion
Does men depend on religion to flourish or do religion need men to flourish? A man seeking nirvana may embrace a belief in Alpha Omega. But in the absence of faith, religion is like an empty cup. Without water, the cup hardly fulfill its theme.

Senseless pursue
Life folly lies in the senseless pursue of wealth. In attempting to achieve riches, sometimes we give away life's greatest gift, our health. Without an able body, even the best diamonds will lose its dazzle on us. Do not neglect health for wealth; or you will end up with neither.

Concentration
It is not the quantity of time spent on studying, but rather it is the quality of time that matters more. Concentration is being oblivious to everything else other than the subject of your focus.

Embrace the now
Too many people missed out on the essence of life by dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. As I aged, 3 words become very clear. "Life Goes On" The moment is the only thing that can impact us and therefore our attention should be devoted to it.

Consequences from acts
An act of faith embarks on the belief of the unseen; an act of courage begins from challenging the unknown. Yet the consequences from these acts will distinguish us from idiocy and brilliancy.

Process Vs Ending
In every process follows an ending. The splendour of life lies in being part of a process. When it ends, continuity ceases; which explains why success is a process to be revered and not to be viewed as a conclusion to life.

Thought and reality
To think of failure before we begin; is like adding weights on your body to climb a mountain. In pursuing success, we ought to be free of all undue burdens. Let the real obstacle be the only obstacle. Do not create more to add on to what is already in front of you.

The voice within
You can be your own best ally or enemy. If you are in sync with your inner self, you can achieve great things. If you are in conflict within, even the simplest of task seems daunting. In solitude, do not spend time alone; instead connect with yourself.

Conformity vs creativity
What good does education do you if it makes you conform to pre-conceived ideas from past research? Creativity cannot be taught. It comes natural to you if your mind is like a blank sheet of paper, ready to accept new and unprocessed ideas.
Life
Life is best to be lived, not conceptualized. For when the moment of truth arrive, it is the means that matter more than the ends. The richness in life is appraised on feelings and not quantifiable by facts nor figures.

Reasonable contentment
Before we start to show resentment to the traffic jams that delay us daily; think about the people on the other end of the world having to walk several miles to make a living. These are the people who truly live their lives and happy with what they have.

Thoughts vs feelings
Balance your thoughts with your feelings. If you spend too much time thinking, you will never get things done. If you express yourself too freely, you will end up doing more than necessary.

Opportunities
The uniqueness in life is such that even when opportunities re-appear, they will never be presented under the same circumstances. Have you ever seen an ocean wave that comes in the same velocity as the previous one? Take the plunge. Ride the wave if you have to.

Maturing vs matured
The process of maturing is a life-long journey. To be matured means to die to learning. The more we learn from others, the more we can discover within ourselves. The more we learn, the more we do not know.

Balance between suppression & compulsion
To lead a secure life and feel inhibited by fear of making mistakes or to honestly express one self without fear of erring? The ideal is a balance between both. Life continues to impart valuable lessons to those willing to try.

Perception
Reality is apparent but perception is the lens that separate your way of truth from mine.

Living the moment
Let go of yesterday and forget tomorrow. Today will soon be a thing of the past if you don’t start living the moment. Experience the now as it is all that matters. What hasn’t happen cannot affect you and what has happened cannot be changed. Life is too short to be spent on reminiscing the good times or to be brooding on what could have been better.

Adaptability
The dynamics of change can be unprecedented and yet anticipated by all. To be in control of the situation, just flow with the ‘flow’ and change with the ‘change’. The toughest problem can be neutralised first by yielding to it. Only by adapting to the problem, we can then seek the root of it.

The need to be objective
We, as by products of history and traditions had our minds molded by ideals conceived decades ago. To prevent unfair judgement, one should not see another's fault through a fixed position of prejudice. To remain objective, it is essential to sit on the fence. The "fence" is the best position where we are in quiet awareness of the entire environment and not just an object. It is the place to be at looking at all facts and yet being not for or against the subject matter.

The need for balance
An individual cannot progress without the aid of stress. Stress applies pressure that keeps the mind searching for alternatives. In an inexhaustible waterfall, the water never grows stale and is in a state of constant renewal. In the absence of stress, the mind ceases to work. When the mind ceases to work, the individual ceases to live.

Sizing down the problem
Every tiny raindrop that falls onto the ocean, disappears quickly after causing a small ripple. There is over-hyped reaction during the initial stages of problem identification. More often than not, we tend to magnify its significance and undermine our own ability to handle it. We are small in this world, therefore our problems can't be that big? Think about it against a disaster where we could not have control over, your problem will dissolve within the water, just like the raindrop merging with the ocean.

Retrenchment
When laid off, do not commit career suicide pre-maturely by taking on survival jobs. If the hiring process picks up, you may find it difficult to get back on track. Persevere on as long as your savings could afford you. Do not join the masses in their panic.

The start of a relationship is sparked by an exciting romance whereby you do your best to exceed the expectations of your partner. You begin to take things for granted as the relationship stabilizes and finally when it matures, you expect your partner to live up to your expectations.
Watch out for 19th April 2011. I will be liberated.
True friends are not afraid to get on to the mud with you, in order to pull you out.

Quiet moments
Today's circumstances are a result of our past actions. We may not be able to change our present environment, but we certainly have the empowerment to alter our future.
Good ideas come and go like a butterfly. When it comes, make sure you net it on the spot.

You cannot learn to fight a war by sitting through a lecture.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but rather the best strategy should be fluid, inter-changable and adapts to the environment.
By ridding your mind of all pre-conceived ideas, you make the learning curve less steep.
Do not get too carried away by thoughts, instead allow yourself to be guided by feelings. Do what is right, and not "should be" right.
